  • Start spring cleaning early and donate any unwanted items you might have to the WTG Giant Indoor Tag Sale! 

    No electronics, computers or exercise equipment, but clothing and shoes will be accepted to be sold to Savers ($$ for pounds).  Clothing & shoes will NOT be available for purchase at the tag sale. 

    Drop off items to be sold on Saturday, January 7th from 10am-2pm  at the Burton Leavitt Theatre, 779 Main Street, Willimantic. 

    All proceeds benefit the Windham Theatre Guild.  For more information call 423-2245.

  • Announcing auditions for Windham Theatre Guild’s production of “Twelfth Night” by William Shakespeare! The production will be directed by J. Michael Spencer and produced by Martha Funderburk and Ava Molnar

    Auditions will be held on:

    Friday, January 10th at 7:00 PM

    Saturday, January 11th at 2:00 PM

    at ACT, 896 Main Street, Willimantic, CT 06226

    Performances will be April 4 - 6, 10 - 13

    Please prepare one Shakespearean monologue, no longer than 2 minutes. Monologues do not need to be memorized. There will also be a selection of monologues on-hand at auditions if you are not able to prepare one in advance.

    Actors of all races, ethnicities, genders, body types and physical abilities are encouraged to audition.

    Synopsis:

    Viola thinks her brother is dead. He thinks that she is dead. Everyone thinks that she is her brother. Everyone thinks that her brother is her. Shenanigans ensue.

    Characters:

    • The Character Breakdown applies to the play as published and does not take into account any creative decisions or cuts to the text that may be made prior to the start of rehearsals.
    • Descriptions of the characters have been kept general to encourage you to try out for roles you may not ordinarily consider yourself for.
    • Smaller roles may be doubled / trebled, and some characters could be combined.
    • There may also be opportunities for non-speaking ensemble roles.

    • Don’t worry about age, gender, or type, you can audition for anything! We have no prepared idea of what we are looking for, so go for your ideas!

  • Join us on January 11th from 9 am to 1 pm as we turn the Burton Leavitt Theatre into a bargain hunter's dream.  The entire theatre is filled with treasures for our Annual Giant Indoor Tag Sale.   Come early for the best selection and find some of the best tag sale items of the year.  It's a great way to start off 2025.

  • CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSETS FOR WINDHAM THEATRE GUILD!

    The WTG is doing a Savers FUNDrive where we collect clothes, shoes, accessories and household textiles and Savers in Manchester pays us by the pound.


    We will be collecting the items below at the Burton Leavitt Theatre (779 Main Street in Willimantic) on the following dates:

    Saturday, January 4th - 10 am to 2 pm
    Wednesday, January 15th - 6 pm to 8 pm


    Clothes (men's, women's and children's clothes, coats, shoes, scarves, handbags, wallets, fashion accessories, ties, belts, backpacks, etc.)


    Please put all donated materials in garbage bags and bring them to the theatre on one of the collection dates above.
