  • It’s that time of year when the Windham Theatre Guild Broadway Chorus is gearing up for another terrific concert.  ‘River Of Dreams’ is the title of our show for which we have chosen music from 4 outstanding Broadway shows.  From the Broadway mega hit ‘Mamma Mia!’, we will sing terrific Abba hits ‘Mamma Mia!’, ‘Thank You For The Music’, ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Waterloo’ and more.  ‘Movin’ Out’ provides us with outstanding Billy Joel classics including ‘The River Of Dreams’, ‘New York State Of Mind’, ‘And So It Goes’, and ‘It’s Still Rock And Roll To Me’.  From the incredible Gershwin masterpiece ‘Porgy and Bess’, we will sing ‘Summertime’, ‘I Got Plenty O’ Nuttin’’, ‘O Lawd, I’m On My Way’, and more.  Rogers and Hammerstein’s ‘Carousel’ will complete our concert with such great songs as ’June Is Bustin’ Out All Over’, ‘A Real Nice Clambake’, ‘You’ll Never walk Alone’, and many others.  These 4 great musicals have won many awards including ‘Best Musical’, ‘Best Revival’, and ‘Outstanding Musical’.  There is no doubt that this concert will delight both chorus members and audiences alike.

You can be a part of the great Broadway Chorus tradition at WTG.  There are no try-outs to become a member of our chorus.  All you need is the $35 fee for the music (which you keep), the desire to have a great time singing, and be at least 15 years of age.

All performers must be vaccinated.  We will follow all Covid regulations for our rehearsals and our performances including a mask requirement.

Directors will be Larry Goodwin and Dan Pavone.  Ken Clark will be the accompanist.  Rehearsals are on Tuesdays starting on January 11th from 7:00 to 9:00 at the St. Joseph Church Hall.  Our performances will be on April 29 & 30 at the Burton Leavitt Theatre.  Come and join the fun.

To register, complete the attached form and send it with your payment to WTG, PO Box 802, Willimantic, CT 06226.

PLEASE NOTE THAT MEMBERS OF THE 2020 BROADWAY CHORUS WHO HAVE THEIR MUSIC DO NOT HAVE TO PAY THE FEE BUT MUST STILL REGISTER.
